Love and Hope in the Garden

Years ago I wrote a post titled “Hope is a Bulb”. I was feeling sad about the world. Sad about hatred and ignorance. Sad about violence. Helpless in the face of so much pain and suffering. It remains overwhelming and I still don’t have the answers.

Or, Buds, Blooms, and New Growth

Actually, I do have the answer. I believe the answer to everything is love. Love. Radical love. What I don’t know is the path to get there. So, today I go where I feel connected and grounded. The garden. The garden in bloom with empty, amended beds waiting for new growth and full of hope.

Love.

Radical love is the answer. Can we celebrate those we don’t understand? Can we let go of individual power? Can we love others for all their identities? Their gender? Their love? Their skin colour? Their sexuality? Their religion? Their class? Can we set aside our judgements and our assumptions and just love?

Just love.
