Before getting started I wanted to let you know that the making of our raised beds was featured at Life in Rehab! If you get a chance, go check out what the planter/wall/awesomeness she had done with cinder blocks.  I think it is cool– and can you imagine it with some mosaic?! Wowsa!

A Chicken Goes a-Walking

Yesterday when the sun came out (gasp!) I decided to brave letting ‘one of the Annies’ out for a garden romp.   I say brave because, well, have you ever tried to catch a chicken?  They don’t exactly come when called.  I chose Annie because, of the 7 chickens, the buff orpingtons are the calmest.
